General Cardiology Locum Opportunity in Kentucky

Seeking 2 General Cardiologists for urgent coverage - June 22 (7a) - June 29 (7a), 2026 at Corbin, KY

Also Open: Dec 23 (7a) - Jan 6 (ending Jan 7 @ 7a)

Shifts: Inpatient rounding, 8a - 5p with night call.

Active KY license and clean malpractice will be required for emergency privileges.

Internal Medicine (Cardiology) is in search Full Time Physician (MD/DO) due to FMLA.

The requirement for credentialing is they have a log of 150 nuclear reads in the past 12 months.


We require 50 TEE procedures in the last 12 months to grant TEE privileges.


Shifts available: None (total shifts needed 18)

Privileges available: Full Privileges

Accepted Credentials: Physician (MD/DO)

Board Certified in Cardiology

Certifications: Current KY, DEA, BLS, ATLS

General cardiology experience and skills to include , nuclear stress tests, stress echoes, reading EKG's Pace maker experience is a plus

Patient Volume:

Clinic 15-16 per day (less for London office as it's new)

Hospital: 12-22

Will do admits as needed when in hospital

Will do rounding as needed when in hospital

Interventionalist onsite 24/7

Support staff

Clinic: ACP's MA's

Hospital, RN's MA

Will not do procedures in clinic, will do follow up and new patient appointment.

Preferred Schedule: Seeking 1 provider to work a full time schedule for 4 months to include:

Monday to Monday Clinic and Call 1 week per month

Mon/Wed- Working in hospital or clinic 8-5 with call during working hours on the off week of call

Tue- clinic 8-5 with call during working hours

Thurs- Clinic 8-5 with call during working hours

Fr- Hospital or clinic 8-5 with call during working hours

This schedule will be further discussed and outlined during the interview to answer all questions. We prefer 1 provider for this full time need but may consider more than one provider if that provider can provide at least 2 weeks back-to-back to include one week as a Monday-to-Monday clinic with Call on the above schedule.
