Position Summary - Position located in Roebuck!

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a growing manufacturing team specializing in custom industrial equipment. This is a hands-on position responsible for fabricating, fitting, welding, and assembling heavy steel components from blueprints and engineering drawings. Candidates should take pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and structural steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Lay out, fit, and fabricate parts to precise specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, ironworkers, and other shop equipment.
• Assemble custom equipment and structural weldments.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Work closely with supervisors and engineering to resolve fabrication issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all safety procedures.
• Meet daily production and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Experience using measuring tools including tape measures, squares, levels, and calipers.
• Ability to fabricate from raw materials with minimal supervision.
• Experience with heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or custom fabrication is highly preferred.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with structural steel fabrication.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to perform fit-up, layout, and assembly of custom equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
