OrthoUnited is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at our Spectrum Campus location in North Canton on a PRN basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of orthopedic specialists dedicated to helping patients restore function, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life.

Position Summary

Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving functional abilities, strength, coordination, and independence in daily activities.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and home programs.
• Communicate effectively with therapists, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding patient care.
• Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies in accordance with clinic standards.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Ohio Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment.
• Previous outpatient orthopedic or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required.
