Contract Management Specialist

Job Overview Contract Management Specialist – Tapestry Solutions (a Boeing company) located in Maryland Heights, MO. This role leads proposal development, negotiation, contract formation, and execution for products and services in the Mission Planning Systems (MPS) portfolio. The position supports long‑term relationships across defense and commercial sectors, including commercial and intercompany trading agreements. The role is hybrid, requiring local applicants to work one or more days from home and/or from Tapestry’s Maryland Heights, MO or Swansea, IL offices. Position Responsibilities Exercise appropriate signature authority to negotiate and contract for sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing, and licensing of intellectual property. Support requirement definition, planning, organization, development, and submittal of proposals; coordinate functional inputs, develop proposals, negotiate, and participate in gate reviews. Present business solutions, preserve and expand the business, and represent the company in external negotiations. Execute contract award and post‑award activities; prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret, and administer legally binding complex contractual agreements. Coordinate with internal functional disciplines; summarize complex contractual issues, develop creative solutions, and mitigate contractual risk. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher. At least 1year of experience with contracts, legal, and/or procurement. At least 1year of experience building, developing, and maintaining customer relationships. Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% (approximately a couple of nights per year). Preferred Qualifications 1+year experience leading or managing proposal development and negotiating commercial and/or government contracts. Experience leading projects that require integration across business units and/or multiple functions. Experience working with geographically dispersed teams in a fast‑paced environment with strict deadlines. 1+year of experience with proposal management, strategy development, and/or contract negotiations. Strong analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with FAR and DFAR or other legal terms and conditions. Other Requirements Drug‑free workplace: post‑offer testing required for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol as per policies. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (Top Secret/SCI). U.S. citizenship required. Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person). Position is not contingent upon program award and requires a 24‑hour shift in the United States. Pay & Benefits Competitive base pay range: $61,000 – $79,400 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Variable compensation opportunities are available.
