When hospitals cannot provide the advanced care, expertise and new treatment options their patients require, they turn to us.Job SummaryInstalling, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.Job ResponsibilitiesWork with all areas of the HVAC trade and refrigeration operating systems currently used in the industryInstall, repair and maintain Roof Top Unit Operating Systems, Building Management Systems, refrigeration equipment, chiller units, air handlers & cooling towersPerform maintenance and repairs on Medical Gas linesInstall, repair and maintain piping (copper, Pex, screw pipe, PVC, CPVC, gas), duct work, ductless split systems, boilers (water & steam), water source heat pump systemsProblem solve HVAC system issues using hand tools, testing equipment and measuring devices to evaluate and repair systemsAbide by proper reclaiming and environmentally sound disposal of refrigerants currently used in industryPerform other related duties as requiredQualifications3 years general commercial HVACValid CT Heating & Cooling, Medical Gas (MG-1 or MG-2) and Freon Recovery licensure.Follow all procedures when it pertains to organization procedures and OSHA requirementsAble to operate electronic devicesAbility to communicate and understand directions.Ability to braze and sodder pipingAbility to work in a crouching or standing position for a long period of time.Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding for long periods of time.Ability to effectively operate in high locations.We take great care of careers.With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
