Registered Nurse PCU

Schedule

12-hour day shifts, three times a week (06:45 - 19:15). Weekend requirement: every other weekend.

Assignment Details

Contract lengths of 13 weeks or longer available.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Accepts first-time travelers; local candidates may be considered with a rate difference.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH.
• Experience with arterial lines, titrating vasoactive drips, and conscious sedation is necessary.
• Familiarity with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and IV insulin protocols is required.
• Experience with central line management, blood product administration, and the use of rapid response teams.
• Skills in managing respiratory devices such as BIPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a stepdown unit, monitoring post rapid response team patients with various diagnoses.
• Administer medications and monitor patients' responses to medications.
• Perform procedures associated with telemetry, including monitoring and responding to dysthymias.
• Utilize clinical assessments to plan and implement patient care strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Compliance / Notes

RTO allowed: maximum of 7 days for auto offers. Hospital orientation during the first week; availability for daily classes is required. EKG testing must be passed prior to assignment start.
