Will Consider New Grad from an Accredited school with ARRT certification and CA license!

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• One year of RT experience preferred
• Education as required by current state laws and ordinances
• California State License & National License
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy

Responsibilities:

• Verify and deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients using various treatment modalities obtain patient history, answer patient questions, and explain procedure; observe patient for any unusual reactions or events during treatment and record all information accurately.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• Position patient for treatment and document simulation parameters
• Schedules patients for treatments; interfaces with physicist at initiation of treatment; consults with supportive care physicians, nurses, and other staff as needed.
• Ensure billing procedures
• Perform and document daily Quality Assurance
• Perform simulations
• Provide emotional support to patients when necessary
• Maintains appropriate licensing and certification
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
