Litigation Attorney

Attorney Position

A well-established law firm is seeking a first-, second-, or third-year attorney to join its litigation team.

This is an in-person opportunity for a newer attorney who is eager to develop courtroom and trial skills. The ideal candidate will be motivated to handle cases from beginning to end, develop sound legal judgment, and grow into a capable, independent litigator.

Responsibilities:

• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Conduct legal research and develop legal arguments
• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and trial
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions
• Attend court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses
• Collaborate with litigation and pre-litigation teams
• Evaluate liability, damages, and case strategy
• Prepare cases for trial and participate in trials

Qualifications:

• Active California Bar admission
• Approximately 1-3 years of attorney experience; exceptional newly licensed attorneys may be considered
• Genuine interest in becoming a litigator and trial attorney
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good judgment and common sense
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
• Strong communication and client-management skills
• Accountability, reliability, and follow-through
• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and develop litigation skills

Prior litigation or personal injury experience is preferred but not required. The firm is primarily looking for a smart, motivated attorney with strong fundamentals, sound judgment, and a genuine desire to develop as a litigator.

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
