Call Center Representative

Call Center RepresentativeWe are seeking a professional and reliable Call Center Representative to join a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and typing skills, a consistent work history, and the ability to handle sensitive calls with professionalism and attention to detail. Previous experience in a medical setting is highly preferred, but not required.Location: Boston, MA Pay: $21.00–$23.00/hour Candidates with directly relevant experience, such as hospital switchboard or answering service experience, may be considered for a higher pay rate. Schedule: Full-time, onsite. Four schedule options available. Training: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–6:00pm for approximately 2–3 weeksSchedule OptionsThis is an essential position within a 24/7 operation. Candidates must be reliable and available to work their assigned schedule, including some holidays and during inclement weather. All positions are fully onsite.First Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Shift falls between 7:00am–6:00pm. Thursday and Sunday off.Second Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Shift falls between 2:00pm–11:00pm. Wednesday and Sunday off.Swing Shift: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Shift falls between 10:00am–8:00pm. Sunday and Monday off.Swing Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Shift falls between 10:00am–8:00pm. Friday and Saturday off.Training Requirement: All new hires must be available for Monday–Friday training from 10:00am–6:00pm for approximately 2–3 weeks, regardless of their assigned schedule.ResponsibilitiesHandle inbound calls from patients and medical staff with professionalism and empathyAccurately document and manage sensitive informationProvide clear, concise communication and supportNavigate systems efficiently while maintaining attention to detailMaintain a high level of confidentiality at all timesRemain professional and composed when handling sensitive or high-pressure callsQualificationsPrevious call center experience requiredMedical field experience highly preferred, but not requiredHospital switchboard or answering service operator experience is a plusStrong phone presence and excellent communication skillsMinimum typing speed of 40 WPMDemonstrated job stability and consistent tenure in previous rolesAbility to work independently and learn quicklyComfortable handling sensitive and sometimes high-pressure situationsFamiliarity with medical terminology is a plusReliable and responsible with the ability to meet the requirements of an essential positionMust be available to work some holidays and during inclement weatherBackground check required Express Employment Professionals Defunct
