Position Title: Senior Finance & Administration Manager, MIHRPosition Type: Regular Full-TimeDepartment: MOMENTUMLocation: Washington, DC - HybridSalary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 - $136,000Note: The posted salary range reflects the full range of Corus' Senior Manager pay grade and does not represent the anticipated hiring salary for this position. This hybrid position is based at our headquarters in Washington, DC, with in-office days on Tuesday and Wednesday each week.The Senior Manager, Finance & Administration, Ebola Response is a key member of the MIHR Finance & Administration team and will provide critical financial and administrative management for the U.S. Department of State-funded $21M MOMENTUM Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR) Ebola Response project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).The Senior Manager will provide critical support the in-country team and regional offices by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the financial performance of project activities. Working closely with MIHR headquarters finance staff and the DRC field team, the Senior Manager will help strengthen internal financial controls, monitor and mitigate financial risks, ensure compliance with donor and organizational requirements, prepare accurate financial reports, and track financial performance against approved work plans and budgets.All responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, Corus International policies and procedures, local laws and regulations, and donor rules and requirements. This role will collaborate closely with colleagues across Corus headquarters departments and the country office to support effective project implementation and financial stewardship.Responsibilities:Serve as a key liaison among headquarters finance, project leadership, country offices, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and effective communication of financial information and guidance.Collaborate with MIHR Finance colleagues, DRC country office finance managers, and subrecipients to support annual budgeting, financial planning, and mid-year forecasting. Compile and analyze financial data in partnership with in-country leadership and finance staff to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial projections that support effective project implementation and decision-making.Monitor and analyze budget variances and financial performance on a regular basis. Coordinate with technical teams, country finance staff, and partner organizations to track Ebola response expenditures and provide timely financial analysis and reporting that supports effective decision-making, program implementation, and service delivery.Analyze operational and financial performance, including historical, current, and projected revenue, expenses, cash flow, variances, and costs.Identify and communicate financial risks, trends, and issues that may impact project performance, and recommend corrective actions as needed.Monitor, track, and report on contractual and agreement deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, donor obligations, and established timelines. Coordinate with internal teams and implementing partners to identify potential issues, support timely completion of deliverables, and maintain accurate records and reporting.Develop, maintain, and enhance budget, forecasting, and financial reporting templates, tools, and dashboards to support effective financial management and decision-making.Review expense reports, consultant invoices, and subcontractor and subrecipient financial reports for accuracy, completeness, compliance, and adequate supporting documentation. Ensure payments are processed accurately and timely.Review financial activity reported by country offices, including month-end journal entries and closing documentation, for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before integration into the headquarters financial management system.Provide guidance and support to field finance staff to ensure accurate and timely month-end close processes, invoice processing, financial reconciliations, and donor reporting.Produce timely and accurate financial reports that meet with donor requirements and reporting deadlines. Ensure all reports comply with applicable regulations, award terms and conditions, cost-share or matching requirements, and other donor-specific provisions, including required financial detail and supporting documentation.Assess training and capacity-building needs and provide ongoing technical assistance to field office finance staff and MIHR implementing partners to strengthen financial management and reporting.Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of financial and operational policies, practices, and procedures to strengthen internal controls, promote compliance, identify cost efficiencies, and improve organizational effectiveness.Perform special projects, analyses, and other finance and administration duties as assigned.Supervisory:This position is expected to have dotted line supervision with some field finance staff in DRCRequired Qualifications:Bachelor 's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience within an international non-profit organization; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Experience with automated general ledger systems; ERP-integrated accounting system implementation a plus.Working knowledge with U.S. Government federal rules and regulations, including 2 CFR 200.Experience managing large, complex projects.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills, with exceptional attention to detail, sound organizational abilities, initiative, and a customer service-oriented approach.Demonstrated ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret financial records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established procedures, policies, regulations, and donor requirements.Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information and analysis to non-financial audiences, including project leadership and program staff.Ability to work independently with a high degree of judgment, discretion, and initiative while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and build productive working relationships across departments and geographic locations.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%, including travel to remote locations, areas with challenging living conditions, and disaster-affected regions, as needed to support field finance teams and project operations.Must have authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications:Professional proficiency in French is preferred.Physical and Mental Requirements:The physical requirements that may be needed to execute responsibilities may include bending, standing, and walking, etc.The mental requirements that are essential to satisfactorily executing the responsibilities outlined in this job description include, but are not limited to: learning new tasks, comprehending, and retaining information, completing tasks independently, effectively communicating verbally and in writing, demonstrating proficiency in using computer software to perform assigned tasks.Other Duties:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities for the position.
