Fire Airtanker Base Manager

Fire Airtanker Base Manager
As a Fire Airtanker Base Manager your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides leadership, allocates resources, and implements activities to accomplish DOI's multicultural organization direction.
- Directs and oversees air base operations in support of wildland fire suppression and serves as a subject matter expert in aviation safety and retardant aircraft limitations.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for airport management, contractor representatives, public affairs officials, and federal, state, tribal, and local partners regarding aviation operations.
- Ensures safe execution of all aviation and ground support activities, including site security, communications, aircraft movement, fueling, retardant operations, and ramp vehicle movement.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive air base operations, safety, and security plans, and provides input to local aviation plans.
