Work Environment

This position operates in an outpatient clinic environment in Fort Pierce, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients in a hands-on capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, including the analysis of medical history, physical assessments, and the development of tailored treatment strategies.
• Effectively communicate evaluation results and collaboratively set goals with patients and their families to ensure an integrated approach to care.
• Implement targeted treatment protocols that are based on your evaluations, patient presentations, and current healthcare best practices.
• Regularly consult with fellow healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and adapt treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient encounters, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to maintain clarity and compliance with our evolving healthcare environment.
• Engage in discharge planning process with patients and their families, providing the necessary education and resources for continued recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse array of outpatient cases, including individuals recovering from surgical procedures, sports-related injuries, chronic pain issues, and various orthopedic conditions. Our patient population ranges from young athletes to elderly individuals, requiring a versatile approach to care that accommodates different age groups and health statuses.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Strong knowledge of the principles and techniques of physical therapy, including a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is highly desirable.
