NUCLEAR MED TECHNOLOGIST PRN

In this role, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist reports to the Radiologist, the Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine/PET, and the Diagnostic Imaging Center Manager. They perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures for patients ranging from adolescents (12–18) to aging adults (66+), following protocols set by the clinician and the department. Responsibilities Perform both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. Receive, prepare, utilize, and administer radioactive materials. Review and verify that the QA performed on unit doses meets department and state guidelines. Conduct procedures on selected anatomy as requested by the clinician for patients in the following age groups: adolescence (12–19), adults (20–65), and geriatric adults (65+). Apply appropriate scan protocols to visualize the anatomy in question. Credentials and Qualifications High School / GED Florida state license required – Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) ARRT(N) or CNMT through NMTCB certification (or equivalent) required. Current BLS required. Associate degree preferred. One (1) year nuclear medicine technologist experience preferred.
