Revenue Integrity Specialist

Position Summary Sala Institute for Child and Family Centered Care is seeking a Project Manager with strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, analytical and problem‑solving skills. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of multiple projects within the scope, quality, time and resource constraints specified by the project leads and key stakeholders. You will be expected to periodically present to clinical and administrative leadership, foster collaborative relationships, and develop key business and operational skills to drive project success. Essential to your success will be your ability to manage project dependencies and stakeholder relationships as they relate to the projects you work on, as well as ensure timely and effective communication with the project team and stakeholders. Project Management will be under the general direction of Sala Institute Directors, as well as with guidance from Sala Program Managers when the project is in scope of the programs they manage. Job Responsibilities Manages projects—including development and maintenance of project plans, facilitating work groups, analyses, and understanding of the issues surrounding a project—across the span of Sala Institute programs and accountabilities (quality, safety, experience, partnership, and patient and family support services). Synthesizes complex information to communicate project deliverables and recommendations to stakeholders; independently suggests alternatives to work groups and serves as a thought partner with stakeholders by asking probing questions to derive the best possible outcomes. Carries out assignments in conducting the operations of his or her project, including being involved in relevant planning of long‑ or short‑term project objectives. Utilizes current project management methodology most applicable for each project. Demonstrates knowledge of the organization’s standard processes and incorporates them into the performance of duties. Shares status updates and deliverables for project milestones to Sala and HCH leadership with guidance from Program Managers and/or Directors. Suggests options and approaches to analyses or project management, and acts or collectively makes a decision after the various possibilities have been considered, effectively communicating the rationale for the decision that was made. Consistently operates with a clear understanding of when to act independently and when best to reach out to include input from others with broader, more diverse experience. Brings issues to resolution and escalates issues or concerns to the Project Sponsor, key constituents, and Program Managers. Recognizes the technical, business, and operational impacts of major decisions, and provides analyses or consultation as decision support to leadership. Effectively communicates and develops a professional level of cooperation across the organization; determining the best approach to drive project success through formal channels and informal networks. Relates well to all kinds of people at all levels both inside and outside the organization. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required. Maintains the Sala Institute team culture by acting as a collaborative team member, maintaining a positive attitude, willingness to work at all levels, and commitment to the team. Minimum Qualifications A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in project management working in a healthcare setting and/or healthcare consulting capacity. Complete understanding of a project life cycle methodology, strong judgment, and excellent project management skills. Possesses strong analytical skills. Action‑oriented, with experience managing aggressive deadlines and strength across a broad range of technical skills (e.g., highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Effective problem‑solving skills to assist in detecting potential issues and issue resolution. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to the target audience. Demonstrates an ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgment, and independent thinking in selecting the optimal course of action. Preferred Qualifications A graduate degree, preferably in health‑care administration, business administration, public health, or equivalent years of experience. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state law on salary transparency in job advertisements. The salary range for this role is $76,721.83 – $127,000.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range does not include bonus, incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
