Guide and coach Scrum Teams on Agile values, principles, and the Scrum Framework Protect development teams from outside influences and remove impediments Build a trusting and safe environment focused on problem-solving Facilitate work completion without coercion, assignment, or dictation Assist with internal and external communication, transparency, and information sharing Support and educate the Product Owner on refining and ordering the product backlog Ensure the product backlog is visible and prioritized toward business value Facilitate Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives Empower teams to become self-organized Support delivery of business value and increase business agility Requirements Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks, including Scrum, across multiple teams/products Servant leadership mindset Proficiency with Agile delivery tools such as TFS, Jira, or Azure DevOps Continuous learning mindset Ability to teach and train on Agile, Scrum, and Kanban Knowledge of product and sprint backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, and velocity Negotiation, leadership, written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a collaborative team environment Excellent people skills and ability to understand diverse viewpoints High emotional intelligence Ability to understand GM Financial’s business and apply critical thinking Ability to facilitate, coach, and guide through influence and collaboration Ability to coach and train Agile teams before, during, and after PI Planning Ability to establish Definition of Ready and Definition of Done Ability to facilitate SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, SOS, PO sync, and inspect and adapt Ability to use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot Ability to evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias Experience integrating AI into workflows Familiarity with AI-assisted research, summarization, and content generation Understanding of responsible AI use, ethics, and data protection 2–4 years of experience as a Scrum Master High school diploma or equivalent required Scrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM) or
