Shipping and Receiving Clerk

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk supports day-to-day inventory flow in a busy Manhattan operation. This role is responsible for checking incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying counts against packing slips, labeling materials, and recording items in basic tracking systems. Typical duties include moving cartons with hand trucks or dollies, organizing stock in designated areas, preparing items for pickup, and reporting damaged or missing goods to the appropriate supervisor. The position also requires coordination with warehouse, office, or delivery personnel to help keep transactions accurate and timely. Candidates should have basic math and reading skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to follow written procedures. Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse work is helpful, though not always required if the candidate can learn quickly and work carefully.
