Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for a long-term locum tenens opportunity supporting freestanding Emergency Departments in Columbia and Florence, South Carolina .

This opportunity offers a highly attractive 12 PM–8 PM schedule , approximately 2 patients per hour , Epic, and substantial ongoing coverage across two FSED locations. Coverage begins November 19, 2026 , with a long-term need expected to continue for 6+ months .

Clinical Environment

Join an Emergency Medicine program designed around freestanding emergency care with dedicated physician and APP coverage. The assignment provides experienced APPs the opportunity to support two South Carolina locations while maintaining a consistent 12 PM–8 PM shift window .

At the Columbia location, the FSED provides 24/7 emergency services with on-site diagnostic capabilities including CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and laboratory services. The Florence location expands the opportunity into a new-build freestanding Emergency Department.

With approximately 2 patients per hour , a 14-bed ED environment , and Epic, this opportunity offers experienced Emergency Medicine APPs a clearly defined clinical setting with long-term scheduling potential.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• 1–3+ years of Emergency Medicine experience
• Appropriate Emergency Medicine qualifications for facility credentialing
• BLS,  ACLS,  PALS
• Ability to support and become cross-credentialed at the Columbia and Florence locations

Temporary privileges are available, and the facility can begin its application process while eligible clinicians complete South Carolina licensure.
