Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year in the vibrant Rockville, MD / Washington DC area. This is a chance to work closely with elementary and middle school students across two to three school sites, providing essential speech and language services. Start on August 25, 2026, and continue through June 11, 2027, with a preferred schedule of 35 hours per week (part-time applicants must be available at least three days weekly).

Desired Background and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Active Maryland SLP license required; images of all licenses must be provided.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is strongly preferred, although outstanding Clinical Fellows (CFYs) will be considered.
• School-based experience for at least one year is preferred; candidates with strong alternative experience and references may also be considered.
• Familiarity with varied student ages; caseloads may include elementary (up to 40), middle (around 48), with a peak of 57 students.
• Flexibility to travel between up to three school locations as assigned.
• Willingness to undergo a House Bill background check and complete time-sensitive credentialing.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language intervention in alignment with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, multidisciplinary teams, and families to maximize student outcomes.
• Manage documentation and assessments in compliance with state and district guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to case conferences.
• Engage in regular supervision and feedback, especially for CFYs (supervision provided).
