Sr. Accountant (Mat Coverage)

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $45 to $52 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports for property portfolios, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee lease administration, including rent rolls, lease abstracts, and tenant billing.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for properties
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Perform month-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• CPA or CMA certification required.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel)

Experience:

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff.
• In-depth understanding of GAAP.
