Plant Manager (Precision Manufacturing)We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of a high-performance precision manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating production, technical, and support functions to ensure operational excellence, cost efficiency, and consistent delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in precision manufacturing environments, with a strong background in aerospace and defense, and thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven setting.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment for all employees and visitorsLead overall plant operations, including production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and materialsEstablish and implement plant-level policies aligned with organizational objectivesDrive achievement of revenue, profitability, and operational performance targets, including full P&L responsibilityPlan, organize, and prioritize production schedules to meet customer delivery requirementsOversee workforce planning, including capacity analysis and labor forecastingLead, coach, and develop cross-functional teams including managers and supervisorsExecute capital investment projects, including evaluation and implementation of equipment and technologyPromote and sustain a culture of continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologiesCollaborate with supply chain and procurement to optimize material flow and equipment utilizationImprove throughput and operational efficiency using proven methodologies such as Theory of ConstraintsEnsure adherence to strict quality standards, including regulated industry requirementsEnforce company policies, procedures, and operational protocolsLeadership & Management ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervise leaders across operations and supporting functions, including production, maintenance, engineering, materials, and qualityManage all aspects of the employee lifecycle including hiring, training, performance management, and employee relationsFoster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous developmentResolve employee issues and operational challenges effectively and professionallyQualificationsBachelor's degree required (MBA preferred)Minimum of 10 years of experience in precision manufacturing, with strong exposure to aerospace and defense environmentsAt least 5 years of leadership experience managing teams in a manufacturing settingDeep understanding of machining, metalworking, and tight-tolerance production environmentsWorking knowledge of AS9100 quality management systems and other applicable aerospace/defense regulatory standardsStrong understanding of production operations, capacity planning, and manufacturing systemsDemonstrated financial acumen with experience managing budgets and interpreting P&L statementsExperience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office toolsLean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsEffective communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholdersAbility to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements
