Surgical Medical Care Center MS RN - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
• Skillset: PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), epidural management, ostomy care, blood product administration, tele interpretation, wound care (packing, wound vacs, dressing changes), pre/post heart Cath (Fem./TR bands/no interventions).
• Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires

Required Credentials: Associate Degree or Certificate

Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
