We play a critical role in safeguarding LCRA’s transmission line infrastructure. Your work will directly strengthen grid reliability, optimize the performance and longevity of our transmission assets, and deliver a tangible, positive impact on the lives of the Texans we serve. How You’ll Contribute Perform clearance analysis of encroachments on the transmission system using computer-aided design (CAD) tools Perform forensic analysis of failed/damaged transmission line assets including foundations, poles, lattice structures, suspension hardware, and conductor Propose and justify solutions for failed/damaged assets which optimize grid reliability and public safety Explore new and innovative inspection tools for assessing asset condition How You’re Qualified Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas Driver’s license How You’ll Stand Out Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent Experience in forensic analysis of steel, wood, and concrete structures Experience in the design or maintenance of transmission line equipment Experience with 3D modeling programs Experience with relevant engineering codes Experience with relevant structural analysis programs How We’ll Support You Benefits that don't just check boxes, they make life better.
