- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and month-end close activities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation
- Analyze financial statements, accounts, and operational results
- Perform financial analysis and investigate variances or discrepancies
- Support government reporting and accounting compliance requirements
- Assist with employee ownership plan administration and insurance programs
- Participate in annual financial audits and tax preparation
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures
- Strengthen and maintain effective internal controls
- Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial information and analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with ERP or accounting software systems
