About Arca
Arca is a wealth management firm built from the ground up with AI. Most people get financial advice that's reactive: an annual check-in, a plan that's a document instead of a living thing, a relationship where you're one of three hundred clients your advisor is trying to remember. We think that's backwards. The kind of service that used to require a team of specialists behind you, the kind that makes you feel like the only person in the room, should be available to far more than the ultra-wealthy.
So we're building it. We're not SaaS — we are the wealth management business, rebuilding it from the inside with AI. Our platform is an Iron Man suit for advisors: it takes over the low-leverage work so they can focus on what actually requires a human, showing up with empathy, context, and judgment. Underneath, it keeps a living understanding of each client. It remembers the thing you mentioned once, six months ago. It notices when your life changes — a new job, a new kid, a market shift — and adjusts before you think to ask. You won't see the technology. You'll just notice your advisor seems to know you better than any financial professional ever has.
That's the product we're growing: client by client, on the strength of the experience itself. We started by acquiring firms managing over $1B in client assets, which gave us real advisors, real clients, and real financial outcomes to build against from day one. But acquisition was the starting line. The bet is that an advisor backed by this platform delivers something good enough that clients come to us on their own.
It's a $20T market, and we think it's ready to be rebuilt.

The team
We’re small on purpose and engineering heavy: about 80% of the team is technical. We’re based in NYC and hail from high growth startups like Stripe, Ramp, Rippling, Plaid, Doordash, & Glean.
We’re fully in-office in Flatiron, five days a week—lunch together, coffee breaks, basketball games, happy hours.
The role
As Arca's first Head of Product, you’ll own what we build and how it feels to use. We're not selling software into wealth management; we are the wealth management firm, so the product is the experience our own clients and advisors live in every day. The advisor platform is live and advisors have moved real client assets onto it. The next chapter is the consumer: defining what financial services look like when they're built AI-first from the start, not a traditional experience with a chatbot layered on top. You'll work directly with the founder and the engineering team, set the vision and the roadmap, and stay hands-on enough to test hypotheses and ship alongside them. If it's product, you own it.
What you’ll own
The consumer experience, end to end. Every surface where clients meet Arca, starting with a client portal and extending to an app and new touchpoints, designed agent-first from day one.
The line between human and AI. How agents, advisors, and clients work together: what the agent handles on its own, when it hands off to an advisor, and how the client always feels confident and cared for along the way.
One ecosystem, not two products. The client experience and the advisor platform as a single system, including the behind-the-scenes capabilities that make the client side feel simple.
What we launch next. As Arca expands from wealth management into tax, estate planning, insurance, and beyond, you decide what we build and bring it to market, while taking the existing platform a level higher.
Vision, roadmap, and how we build. A product strategy with visibility well past the current quarter, and the lightweight process for how Arca ideates, prioritizes, documents, and tests.
The product team. Hiring product managers and helping build design, engineering, and the other functions that work closest to product.
Example problems you’d work on
These aren’t hypothetical; we’re actively working on versions of all of these.
A client experience that's agent-first, not chatbot-added. Agents already do real work behind the scenes for our advisors. What does a client see when an agent has drafted a rebalance, gathered the tax documents, and flagged a question for their advisor? The bar is that it feels calmer and more personal than anything they've used before, not more automated.
Knowing when the human steps in. An agent can answer a question about a cash balance instantly. It probably shouldn't be the one walking an anxious client through a market drop a year before retirement. Deciding where the agent acts, where it hands off to the advisor, and how the client always knows who they're dealing with is a product question as much as a technical one.
Breadth without complexity. Advisors today juggle a sprawl of single-purpose industry tools. We're replacing them with one product. As it grows to cover tax, estate, and insurance, how does it get wider without getting harder to use?
Two sides of one system. Every client interaction should make the advisor better informed, and every advisor action should make the client experience simpler. Designing the consumer product and the advisor platform as one ecosystem, including what runs behind both, is what makes the model work.
The kind of person who thrives here
You’re excited by ownership, ambiguity, and building things that matter.
You've built consumer products people love. Consumer or prosumer, with real instincts for trust, simplicity, funnels, and messaging, and taste that shows in the details. A B2B background counts too, if your customer looked more like a person than a large enterprise.
You're AI-pilled, and you have a point of view. You know AI-native products deeply and have a strong opinion on how agents will change what a consumer experience even is. Ideally you've built AI-first products or led serious AI initiatives; designing human-in-the-loop workflows and agent handoffs is a plus. A proven innovator who has reimagined a user experience is just as compelling.
You've changed what a product could be. You push the needle rather than apply a template, and you can point to a moment where something wasn't working and you changed it.
You've done this while a company was scaling fast. You did meaningful work through hypergrowth and know how to build a product org for it. Founding or early-team experience at a hypergrowth consumer company, or leading a 0-to-1 bet inside a top product org, is a plus.
Engineers respect you. You go deep technically and earn the trust of a strong engineering team. You'd rather build with a few exceptional people than manage a large org. Experience leading design is a plus.
You're a talent magnet. Your background and network make great people want to join, and you have the conviction to help tell Arca's story publicly: what it means to build an agent-run financial company. A public voice through writing, speaking, or community is a plus.
You hold a high bar because of what's at stake. This is people's real money: their retirement, their savings, the plans they have for their families, in a highly regulated industry. Experience in fintech, investing, or regulated consumer finance is a plus, not a requirement. The domain can be learned, and wealth management experience isn't needed.
You’re someone people actually want to be in the room with. This is a small, tight-knit team in one office, five days a week, working on problems that don’t have clean answers. The people who thrive here want to argue about product direction at lunch and then build something together in the afternoon. Kind, direct, and low-ego, you can give candid feedback without being an asshole, and you’re genuinely energized by this environment (not just tolerant of it).
Why now is the moment to join
This is a narrow window with unusually high leverage.
We just came out of stealth, and we're growing fast. The team is intentionally small, the equity reflects that, and the ceiling is high. You'd be joining early enough that the work you do now directly shapes what the company becomes and what's possible next.
The advisor-facing product is being defined right now, by a small team that talks to advisors every day. We've just brought on our second firm—the real inflection point, where we start separating what generalizes from what was bespoke. The patterns you set become the foundation for every acquisition that follows.
The consumer product is a blank page. We've never built directly for consumers until now—no legacy, no template. Whoever takes this on defines what the experience even is.
The hard part is behind us, which means the interesting part is starting. The platform is live, the concept is proven, advisors have moved real client assets onto it. The work now is scaling a working system across four or five acquisitions this year—workflows, data, agents, reliability under real load.
