We are not open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years of Experience Minimum REQUIRED (HARDSTOP - 2 years of experience - With strong work experience - For PACU - pediatric experience and Orthopedic experience in an ASC setting)Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st-time traveler WITH STRONG WORK EXPERIENCELocals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Work Setting Skills REQUIRED: Pedi PACU, Phase I PACUCardiac Monitoring Skills REQUIRED: Dysrhythmia recognition/management Surgery Cases Skills REQUIRED: General, GYN, Ortho, Robotics & UrologyIV therapy/Phlebotomy: Starting and maintaining IVs Medications Skills REQUIRED: Emergency Medications & Narcotics/Opioid Analgesics Pediatrics Skills REQUIRED: Management of pediatric patients Respiratory Skills REQUIRED: Care of Ventilated Patient Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions/PPE, Pain assessment & management & RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale) Certs: ACLS, BLS, PALS PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:-Work Setting Skills: Per-Post-Medications Skills: Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring *Additional Skills PREFERRED: Procedural Sedation & Pre-op Experience & Nerve block experience / Conscious sedationJOB DETAILS:-Beds: 12 -SHIFT: 10-HOUR DAYS; 07:30 - 18:00Unit will accept 13 week length or longer, through 2/27 end date.**Cannot approve 12/23/2026-12/27/2026 RTO.***We are not open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day*-Call Requirement: this position will be rotated through a "late" coverage rotation with the PACU RN team to staff the last patients of the day. There however is no call requirement overnight or on weekends.-Float Requirement: Yes. -Weekend Requirement: NONE. PATIENT DIAGNOSES:70% ortho (sports medicine), GYN, robotic GYN, pediatric urology, pediatric gen surgery Ambulatory surgery.*In addition to above, we also cover the following: Orthopedics - foot and ankle, hand & wrist, trauma; Pain Management (injections, ablations, spinal cord stimulators, etc.), ENT (mainly ear cases including cochlear implants), ECT (electroconvulsive therapy), robotic general surgery, plastic surgery (mainly breast cases). SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Fast-paced, high turnover.Conscious sedation preferred. Procedural sedation and Pre-Op experience preferred! SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: N/A UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE: Per Unit Needs UNIT ORIENTATION: Per Unit Needs SCRUBS: Provided. INTERVIEW AVAILABILITY: *****Please provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours while submitting candidates to avoid holding up the approval process. Manager WILL NOT OFFER without speaking to/interviewing the candidate first***** *** INTERNAL NOTES *** ***Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for, this specialty*****Late shift rotation to account for any surgeries that may go over regular end time.**Unit will only consider a max of one week RTO per contract or one week between 12 week contracts
