J. Navarro Insurance Agency is looking for one person who knows how to start a conversation with a stranger, build a real professional relationship, and stay in touch until the timing is right.

This is a local, full time business development position based out of our Redondo Beach office and covering the South Bay. Your week is a mix of training at the office, visits to local businesses and referral partners, outbound calls, scheduled meetings, and steady follow up.

You do not need an insurance license or insurance experience to apply. You do need to want a career in sales. The plan is for you to become licensed, learn the insurance business, and grow into a producer who generates and closes business. While you are unlicensed, our licensed team handles all quotes, recommendations, and sales.

This is not a position where you are handed a list and left alone. You get training and direct coaching from the agency owner, and you are expected to take initiative and own the relationships you build.

Responsibilities

Build relationships with real estate agents, lenders, escrow officers, property managers, contractors, investors, and local business owners.

Visit local offices in person and make professional introductions.

Make outbound calls to set meetings and develop new opportunities.

Attend selected networking and community events.

Log every conversation, next step, and follow-up date in our CRM.

Work directly with agency owner Jessie Navarro and coordinate opportunities with our licensed team.

Complete insurance training and work toward your California insurance license.

After licensing and demonstrating readiness, take part in insurance sales conversations and begin developing your own production.

Requirements

A track record of starting conversations and creating your own opportunities in any industry.

Clear verbal and written communication.

Comfort with outbound calls, in-person introductions, and hearing no.

Strong organization and follow-through without reminders.

A genuine interest in learning insurance and becoming a licensed producer.

Full-time availability, about 40 hours per week.

Reliable transportation and a valid California driver's license for regular travel throughout the South Bay.

Willingness to obtain a California Property and Casualty license.

Spanish is a plus, not a requirement.

An existing insurance license is helpful but not required. A large contact list is not required. Backgrounds that transfer well include mortgage lending, title, escrow, real estate, merchant services, payroll services, property management, restoration, construction, and other outside sales roles.
