Job Description
Registered Nurse - NICU

Schedule

Standard shifts are required with weekend coverage, including 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday and/or Saturday night) and 2 Sunday nights per 6-week schedule. Must be available for two (2) 12-hour on-call shifts per 6-week schedule.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 13 weeks with a guarantee of 3 shifts per week. Canceled shifts must align with the regular shift length to which the Contractor Personnel is assigned.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Two (2) years of nursing experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP
• Experience in attending High Risk Deliveries and within NICU settings (Level 1, NICU II, NICU III)
• Proficient in skills such as ventilation management, central line care, IV starts, and neonatal dosage calculations
• Charting experience with EPIC preferred
• Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for neonates, including those < 24-28 weeks, 29-34 weeks, and > 34 weeks gestation
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and manage invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• Administer blood and blood products, antibiotics, and anti-seizure medications
• Support family education and developmental care practices
• Perform procedures including lumbar puncture and phlebotomy
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and infection control procedures
