Senior Collections Specialist

Senior Team MemberAs a Senior team member on our Backline Collections team, you will perform in a leadership role, supporting hiring manager(s), clients, customers, vendors, and other internal contacts. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting various functions, including bankruptcy, repossessions, and insurance for defi's auto clients. You will be key in helping the company achieve desired financial outcomes as defined by client objectives.Position Responsibilities:Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:Understanding the client's requirements, processes, and methodologies.Be a back-up for managerial duties when needed (performance management, direction, subject matter expert)Working with Insurance Companies to monitor and close insurance claimsImpound and repossession processesAct as a liaison to provide communication between the courts, bankruptcy attorneys, and our clientsAssist fellow collection team members in all other functions assigned by managementPerform other duties as required.Required Qualifications:Current performance and attendance must be in good standingPrior experience in consumer finance and/or collection, or recoveryMinimum one (1) year team lead, supervisory/ management, or related experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong negotiation skillsComfortable working with numbersIntermediate proficiency with Windows based software programs (i.e., MS Word, Excel)Solid analytical and multi-tasking skills that result in solid decision-making skills and time managementEasily manage through changePreferred Qualifications:Prior back-office collections experiencePrior repossession, bankruptcy or insurance knowledge is helpfulAccounting experience
