--- --- ---As a key leader within the Finance organization, the Gogo Technical Accounting and Reporting Manager will partner closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to lead the research, analysis, and resolution of complex technical accounting matters; oversee the development and application of company accounting policies; and support the preparation and review of the company’s international and SEC filings.The ideal candidate brings deep technical accounting expertise, strong business judgment, and the ability to lead through influence while developing team capability.COME ON BOARD THE GOGO ACCOUNTING TEAM!How will you make a difference?Lead the preparation, review, and oversight of technical accounting memorandums documenting the company’s application of U.S. GAAP; perform and guide technical accounting research on complex transactions, including customer contracts, unique vendor arrangements, marketing agreements, debt offerings, and new product offeringsPartner with cross-functional stakeholders to interpret contract terms and business arrangements and ensure the appropriate application of GAAP; provide oversight and strategic support to the revenue team on new and evolving multi-element arrangementsMonitor new FASB accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations, assess business impact, and lead implementation planning, stakeholder alignment, and training as neededIdentify and evaluate emerging accounting and reporting risks associated with significant projects, transactions, and process changes; advise business leaders to ensure accounting implications are addressed proactivelyOwn the development, maintenance, and communication of accounting policies and partner across the organization to support consistent adoption and executionOversee and contribute to the preparation and coordination of international and SEC 10-Q/K filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A, while ensuring quality and timelinessSupport the consolidation and ERP management processesStrengthen and enhance internal controls, including identifying process improvement opportunities and supporting a strong compliance environmentQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s in Accounting or MBA preferred7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful technical accounting and reporting responsibility; public accounting experience preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent requiredPrior experience leading projects, workstreams, or people in a corporate accounting, technical accounting, or financial reporting environment preferredRequired Skills, Talents & ExperienceComprehensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal control frameworksStrong technical accounting research skills and the ability to apply sound judgment to complex and evolving business issuesExperience partnering effectively with external auditors and defending the company’s accounting positions within GAAPDemonstrated ability to lead through influence, manage competing priorities, and drive results across cross-functional teamsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilitiesSolid verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical accounting matters clearly to senior leadershipPreferred Skills, Talents, & ExperienceExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work both independently and collaboratively while coaching others and building team capabilityEqual Pay Disclosure(s)Base Pay:108,000.00 - 135,000.00 USD AnnualTarget Annual Short-Term Incentive:Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)Eligible for Incentive Stock Program:YesBenefits:Gogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee’s needs.
