Travel RN – Stepdown / PCU (Night Shift)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Full-Time Hours

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting under established clinical protocols
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, Joint Commission standards, and applicable regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a Stepdown, PCU, or IMC setting
• Current BLS certification from an accredited provider
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills appropriate for intermediate-level patient acuity

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Prior travel nursing experience in a comparable acute care or stepdown environment
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems used in large hospital settings
