Inventory Coordinator

Overview The Inventory Coordinator accepts donations at the Attic Store, picks up large donations with company vehicles, and provides donors with tax receipts. They maintain a well-organized donation intake area by sorting and categorizing items for easy processing and movement of furniture and large household items to the holding area or sales floor as necessary. The Retail Coordinator drives the company vehicles or accompanies other employees and volunteers to pick up large donations, assists with rotation of stock, stocks the sales floor, and maintains a clean, well‑organized, and safe store environment. Both positions report directly to the Store Manager and work under the direction of the Warehouse Coordinator. The Retail Coordinator maintains the company vehicles in a clean condition and completes daily Vehicle Inspection Reports to report maintenance issues. Responsibilities Accept donations from donor customers and provide a tax receipt in an efficient, prompt, and courteous manner while delivering excellent customer service. Maintain company vehicles in a clean condition inside and out and report maintenance issues using the Vehicle Inspection Report. Inspect quality, clean, and perform minor repairs (less than five minutes) to items before transporting them to the sales floor or processing area. Maintain the donation intake area in an efficient, safe, organized, and properly stocked manner. Refuse items in a tactful and courteous manner that do not meet standards per the posted “Do Not Accept List.” Inquire from donors about the condition of large household items, specifically electronics and appliances, and label items appropriately. Move/direct large household items and furniture directly to the sales floor as appropriate to eliminate backlogs. Bags excess clothing donations and transports them to the appropriate holding area to eliminate backlogs. Exhibit critical thinking abilities and apply them for continuous improvement of services and higher‑level operations. Demonstrate the ability to think creatively, identify, and make recommendations to Attic management. Consistently demonstrate initiative and skills in planning and organizing work. Prioritize workload and ensure all projects are completed by deadlines. Use own knowledge and experience base and other resources as necessary to make logical decisions and solve problems. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Previous work experience in a warehouse environment as a stock person and/or thrift/consignment store experience. Must be able to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a self‑starter with good organizational skills. Travel up to 25‑75%. #J-18808-Ljbffr Haven Hospice
