Job Description

This role executes fixed income and money market transactions for institutional clients based on customer direction provided through Money Center Sales. The individual supports the full trade lifecycle, including trade execution, settlement, balancing, reconciliation, and operational processing. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Compliance, broker dealers, and external counterparties, this position helps ensure timely and accurate trade execution in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and compliance with established procedures and regulations are critical to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute customer-directed transactions involving Treasury securities, agency securities, commercial paper, money market mutual funds, FDIC sweep products, and other fixed income instruments.
• Support trades through the full trade lifecycle, including execution, confirmation, clearing, settlement, and operational processing.
• Perform trade balancing, reconciliations, operational reporting, and issue resolution activities.
• Partner with Money Center Sales, Operations, Compliance, broker dealers, and external counterparties to support accurate trade execution and processing.
• Maintain compliance with established procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced team members as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Five to eight years of relevant work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Working knowledge of fixed income and money market products, including Treasuries, Agencies, Commercial Paper, Money Market Mutual Funds, and FDIC sweep products
• Hands-on experience executing and supporting fixed income trades through the full trade lifecycle, including confirmation, clearing, settlement, and operational processing
• Ability to independently perform daily operational responsibilities, including trade balancing, position and cash reconciliation, money market mutual fund balancing, and resolution of variances or breaks
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in managing high-volume transaction activity and time-sensitive deadlines
• Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, and accounting concepts impacting Corporate Treasury and institutional trading activity
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively in a team-based trading and operations environment
• Experience generating, reviewing, balancing, and reconciling trading and operational reports with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and resolve trade, settlement, or reconciliation issues efficiently to mitigate operational risk
• Effective communicator who works closely with sales teams, operations, compliance, and external counterparties to support timely and accurate trade execution
• Ability to manage large transactions and heavy trade volume in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong control standards
• Demonstrated interest in fixed income markets with an inquisitive, detail-oriented mindset
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust to changing market conditions
• Required proficiency in Microsoft Excel with proven experience utilizing the Bloomberg trading system to support fixed income trading and operational functions

Location Expectations:

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $81,515.00 - $95,900.00
