The Employee Experience Manager brings the Hays culture to life across our offices, jobsites, and field teams. As the internal culture and engagement lead within the Marketing Department, this role owns the engagement, recognition, internal events, field activations, and company traditions that build connection, camaraderie, pride, and belonging across Hays Electrical Services and the broader 5K Holdings organization. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that goes well beyond planning events, and makes sure our culture grows as the company grows across offices, projects, states, and business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Culture & Camaraderie: Create culture-building programs, traditions, morale and camaraderie initiatives, contests, challenges, and celebrations. Find creative moments throughout the year to connect employees to Hays and deliver experiences they actually look forward to.

• Field Employee Experience: Develop dedicated programs for field employees so company culture reaches every jobsite, not just the corporate office. Coordinate jobsite appreciation events and field activations, partner with project leadership to identify recognition and celebration opportunities, and build scalable programs that roll out across jobsites and regions.

• Internal Events & Experiences: Own internal events end to end, from concept, budget, and logistics through vendors, communications, attendance, execution, and follow-up. This includes holiday parties, employee and field appreciation, family events, office activations, milestone celebrations, leadership events, town halls, team-building, competitions, recognition events, and company celebrations.

• Recognition & Rewards: Own recognition for service anniversaries, milestones, promotions, project accomplishments, and employee and team achievements, along with appreciation programs, rewards and incentives, and employee gifts and swag. Develop creative recognition concepts that go beyond an announcement.

• Employee Journey & Experience Design: Evaluate how employees connect with Hays at key moments throughout their employment, identify friction points, recommend improvements, and build repeatable programs and playbooks.

• Internal Communications: Own Employee Experience content across newsletters, internal and culture campaigns, event invitations, recognition communications, Teams announcements, office and field-facing communications, and employee reminders. Marketing maintains brand standards, design, creative production, and communication quality.

• Measurement & KPIs: Track participation, attendance, field versus office and regional participation, repeat participation, reach, post-program feedback, recognition activity, communication engagement, budget performance, and program completion. Report results, trends, and ROI to the Head of Marketing.

• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Marketing, HR, Recruiting, Operations, Safety, IT, Training, project and regional leadership, and Executive Leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in employee experience, engagement, corporate events, internal communications, culture, marketing, hospitality, or a related field.

• Proven experience developing and executing employee events and engagement programs.

• Strong project management and organizational skills; manages multiple priorities at once.

• Hands-on experience with vendors, budgets, event logistics, and production.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable with executives, office staff, project leadership, and field crews.

• Creative thinker with strong judgment who turns ideas into executable experiences and works independently.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between offices, regions, and jobsites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction, electrical, skilled trades, or industrial environments.

• Experience engaging a multi-site or field-based workforce.

• Experience with recognition platforms or event management tools.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Position Expectations

• Operates within Marketing department standards, workflows, and approval processes.

• Every employee-facing program meets brand standards before launch.

• Available for occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends based on event schedules.

• Owns each program through completion, including post-program reporting.
