Quality Assurance Lead

Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for leading the Quality Assurance team and ensuring all products meet company quality, food safety, and regulatory standards. This role oversees daily quality operations, supports production, drives continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and other food safety requirements.

- Lead and support the Quality Assurance team during daily production operations
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and company food safety standards
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
- Verify product specifications, quality standards, and food safety requirements are consistently met
- Review quality documentation, production records, and inspection reports for accuracy and completeness
- Investigate quality concerns, identify root causes, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Assist with internal, customer, and regulatory audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and customer requirements
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, food safety, and operational efficiency
- Train, mentor, and support QA Technicians on quality procedures, food safety, and best practices
- Provide guidance to production personnel on quality expectations and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
- Support a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the facility
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance Lead, Senior QA, or food manufacturing quality role preferred
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, CAPA, and food safety regulations
- Experience performing inspections, audits, quality investigations, and documentation review
- Leadership experience training and mentoring QA team members
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management documentation systems
- Ability to work effectively with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Regulatory teams
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and food safety
