Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Acute Care) night shift position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and a valid GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 44 beds
• Night shift schedule, 7p–7a, 12-hour shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:5, potentially 1:6; CNA support available
• Telemetry monitoring is present but managed by a separate unit
• Floating required to other acute care units, cardiology (medical patients), and EC for acute care patient holds
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• EMR: MEDITECH (experience preferred but not required)
• 17-week assignment

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required (both must be AHA-issued)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or acute care experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of 1 week of general and EMR training, followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation
• Scrub color required: Caribbean Blue
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
• Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment
