Manager - Territory Marketing, Workers' Compensation

Manage the distribution force for an assigned territory Prospect, appoint, manage, and terminate agencies as necessary Train agents on Zenith’s underwriting appetite, capabilities, products, and services Shape submission flow to ensure acceptable hit ratios and efficient relationships Manage new and renewal sales processes collaboratively with underwriting and other departments Support pricing and selection disciplines Seek opportunities for profitable growth and improved customer experience Monitor competition Manage assigned agents and territory Assess territory opportunities and challenges Participate in regional distribution strategy development and execution Develop and maintain agency profiles, relationships, business plans, and administration Develop qualified‑business pipelines and prequalify submissions Promote the small business plan Train agents on systems, tools, and processes Position Zenith as the market of choice Assist agents in selling Zenith programs and services, including joint policyholder presentations Resolve customer or service issues that impede sales Track agency performance and adjust agency plans Develop competitive intelligence for the local marketplace Educate agents on Zenith products, capabilities, brand, and value proposition Conduct agency orientations, training, and joint sales calls Promote the Zenith brand through industry, agency, policyholder, and association events Improve agency and policyholder experience and resolve service roadblocks Support underwriting and other departments in resolving policyholder issues Develop relationships with agents, policyholders, associations, and Zenith staff Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent combination of training/experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of training/experience 5+ years insurance industry experience including experience in the workers compensation product line and basic underwriting knowledge 5+ years Sales industry and/or customer facing experience including maintaining and growing a book of business Excellent communication skills Ability to present ideas effectively in formal and informal situations; conveying thoughts clearly and concisely Must be comfortable making public presentations Proven sales ability Demonstrated influence management skills Valid Drivers’ License in good standing Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in managing distribution forces and developing agency relationships within the insurance industry, particularly in workers compensation.
