Job Title

Qualifications:

• At least one of the following qualifications is required:
• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a relevant major
• High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years' of relevant experience
• Minimum of three (3) years' clerical experience
• Knowledge of current computing technology and capacity to learn and use payroll-based software applications
• Ability to communicate, effectively, orally and in writing
• Ability to meet and deal professional and courteously with the public
• Ability to interact, professionally and courteously, with (diverse) internal and external customers

Performance Responsibilities:

1. Assists in the district-wide payroll process in accordance with contract and Board policies.
2. Prepares maintenance changes to employees' deductions.
3. Assists in the day-to-day operations of the department as needed including answering inquires pertaining to payrolls, greeting visitors, etc.
4. Audits payroll information including: additional hours, insurance, and leaves.
5. Assists in the coordination of all activities related to direct deposit and deduction payments.
6. Assists in the training and supervision of all payroll staff.
7. Facilitates the training of employees responsible for submitting payroll information.
8. Coordinates with Human Resources to ensure proper payments as well as account coding.
9. Attends workshops and trainings pertaining to payroll, as needed.
10. Performs other job-related functions as may be assigned.
