Tech Lead - Remote

As a Tech Lead - Remote, the candidate will set the technical direction for Fool.com and Motley Fool Money, balancing product velocity with code health while engaging in hands-on coding, mentoring engineers, and ensuring production reliability. Key responsibilities Own the technical direction and maintain production reliability for both platforms Mentor team members through technical coaching and career development conversations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical strategies with business goals Required qualifications 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a tech lead or senior capacity Proficiency in Python with production experience in Django; familiarity with Wagtail is a plus Experience with Next.js and a solid understanding of web applications and REST API design Hands-on experience with AWS services and modern observability tools like Datadog or Sentry Track record of mentoring engineers and integrating AI/LLM capabilities into production applications
