POSITION - CNC Vertical Lathe Operator.

JOB LOCATION - Manitowoc, and Sheboygan, WI.

STARTING DATE - Immediate.

EMPLOYMENT TERM - Temp-to-hire or direct-hire.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE - Full-time.

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) - 1st and 2nd shift.

STARTING PAY - $22-$33/hour.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Utilize CAD/CAM software to prepare files for cutting.
• Download files to machinery.
• Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specified or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tool, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances and ensure that machined parts conform to product specifications.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine the need for adjustments or repairs.
• May operate bench grinder to sharpen tools.
• May set up machines for other workers.
• Programming ability is helpful, but it is not required.
