Litigation Attorney

Job OverviewA law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Orem, UT, with the option for remote work. The attorney will handle litigated matters, focusing on defensive litigation involving residential real estate, title to real property, mortgages, and foreclosure. Candidates should possess excellent advocacy skills and experience in civil litigation. Duties Manage all aspects of litigation related to mortgage servicing and foreclosure. Handle pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property. Prepare case analyses and advise clients on strategies. Draft court pleadings and motions. Conduct discovery, including taking and defending depositions. Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and make court appearances. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school. Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing. Ability to consistently bill 1920 hours per year. Knowledge of foreclosure process preferred. Experience in real estate or mortgage servicing preferred. Education Bachelor's DegreeJuris Doctorate Certifications California State Bar membership Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office products. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Strong organizational skills. Problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of rules of evidence and consumer protection statutes preferred.
