Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, teacher’s aide, instructional assistant, or similar role in a school setting
• Comfortable contributing to classroom management and supporting students with a variety of needs
• Collaborative mindset, able to partner effectively with teachers, therapists, and other school staff
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide students in both individual and group settings
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse learners and adjust to changing classroom dynamics
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some districts may require completion of a Paraprofessional Exam or college coursework

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students under the guidance of certified teaching staff
• Assist with classroom activities, academic tasks, and classroom organization
• Offer encouragement and support to students to foster independence and engagement
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) or other learning accommodations
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and during transitions as needed
• Maintain confidentiality with student information and demonstrate professionalism at all times
