Personal Care Aide

Special Education Paraeducator (Personal Care Aide)
Location: Page Elementary
Tuesdays & Wednesdays
6.75 hours per day
School days only
Qualifications
- High School graduate
- Must be able to lift 40-60 lbs.
- Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention preferred (will provide if necessary)
Job Responsibilities
- Provide individual student support in a Least Restrictive Environment
- Provide assistance with toileting
- Assist student with medical needs
- Document student behavior on a daily basis
- Redirect student behavior and reinforce appropriate behavior throughout the school day
- Have the ability to work positively with students, teachers and parents
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred
- Willingness to work as part of a team of professionals
