As part of a planned leadership transition, the company is seeking a Controller to partner with the CFO and lead the accounting organization through this exciting chapter. The Opportunity As Controller, you\'ll lead all accounting operations while serving as a strategic business partner to the CFO and executive leadership. You\'ll oversee financial reporting, internal controls, treasury, tax, and a high-performing accounting team, while helping modernize processes to support continued growth through acquisition. This role is ideal for a confident, hands-on accounting leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and operating in a fast-paced construction environment. What You\'ll Own Lead all day-to-day accounting operations and the monthly, quarterly, and annual close. Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and GAAP compliance. Oversee WIP reporting, job costing, backlog reporting, cash management, and construction accounting. Partner with the CFO on banking, bonding, audits, tax compliance, and strategic financial initiatives. Develop, mentor, and grow the accounting team while building bench strength for the future. Strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and improve reporting capabilities. Support acquisition integration and help scale the finance organization alongside company growth. What We\'re Looking For 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience. Construction, mechanical contracting, engineering, specialty trades, or project-based industry experience. Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, job costing, backlog analysis, and construction finance. Experience leading and developing accounting teams. ERP experience (Viewpoint/Vista preferred). CPA, MBA, or other advanced credentials are a plus. A process-oriented leader with strong business acumen, ownership mentality, and a continuous improvement mindset. Why This Opportunity?
