Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and therapeutic nursing care to pediatric psychiatric patients ages 5–18 experiencing acute mental health crises
• Support patient stabilization through participation in structured group programming, including Activities Therapy, Mindfulness, Wellness, and Coping Skills groups
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans and meet established patient goals
• Assist with psychopharmacological interventions as part of a comprehensive treatment approach
• Monitor and assess patient behavioral and mental health status, responding appropriately to changes in condition

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric mental health nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification with current blue card
• Prior experience in a large, academic medical center setting
