Saulsbury Industries Superintendent OpportunityTake your next step with Saulsbury Industries!Location: Project Based - TXType: Full timeSuperintendents will coordinate and manage all on-site activities, as well work with project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Foreman, and Field Personnel and other office departments, to deliver successful projects to owners, on time and on budget with the desired level of quality.Responsibilities/CompetenciesEnsure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule.Responsible for site safety. Ensure the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies.Work with the project teams to budget, forecast, and manage field personnel as well as management of labor, equipment, materials, tools, and other cost considerations.Prepare work plans and develop temporary facilities for the project.Understand, review, and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturer's data and execute project based upon said documentation.Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.Manage the overall project and 3 week look ahead schedules, including creating the master schedule and updating it on a weekly basis.Work with the project team to manage the company's quality control program for the project.Manage subcontractors for all work performed on-site.Management and supervision of work crews on-site including…Mentor and train field personnel.Manage foreman and their duties and ensure all have resources and information to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently.Provide performance evaluations of field personnel.Manage the overall safety of the project and ensure all personnel have resources to perform their work safely.Requirements5+ years of proven leadership or supervisory role.10+ years of construction experience, Oil and Gas Plant experience a plus.Basic computer skills with experience in MS Office and MS Project preferred.Insurable driving recordSafety RequirementsOn a continual basis, promotes an awareness of environmental, health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and ensures compliance with all accompany policiesAbility to pass drug test as mandated by the Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug programMust attend and successfully complete Saulsbury Industries safety training educationAttends safety meetings and specialty training as directed by managementAttends various training classes as may be assigned by managementPerform related duties and responsibilities as requiredAbility to take needed safety precautions in performing the workMust own Fire Resistant Clothing (FRC)Physical RequirementsManual and finger dexterityEye-hand coordinationDepth perceptionAbility to see things clearly that are beyond arm's reach (far visual acuity)Ability to see small detailAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to climb 30-foot ladders without restingAbility to maintain balance on catwalks and narrow work spacesAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to reach above head while sitting or standingAbility to reach below knees while standingAbility to stoop or kneelAbility to work 60 or more hours each weekAbility to work at heights a minimum of 20 ft.Ability to stand for long periods of time.Work EnvironmentEmployees in this position must be able to perform under the following conditions:Awkward or confining workspacesHigh placesOut-of-door environmentNoisy EnvironmentDirty EnvironmentAir contamination (dust, fumes, etc.)Near or Below Freezing TemperaturesSaulsbury is an equal opportunity employer.
