Tyler Heating, Air Conditioning, & Refrigeration is hiring a dedicated Administrative/Accounting Specialist in Stratford, CT. This position is responsible for handling daily, monthly, and annually accounting responsibilities, as well as providing administrative support across multiple areas of company operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain precise records of all incoming payments
• Verify that deposits match the invoices, resolve discrepancies when necessary
• Post and export from Service Titan to Sage Intacct
• Digitally file all payable invoices
• Monitor business credit card activity daily and record all transactions appropriately, uploading receipts and recording purchase orders in Sage Intacct when necessary
• Ensure that all bills are paid and recorded in a timely manner
• Confirm that all invoices, transactions, purchase orders, and deposits are posted and exported before closing
• Monitor fuel card usage and vehicle telematics system
• File Connecticut Sales and Use Tax Return forms monthly
• Reconcile vendor accounts monthly
• Renew business license annually
• Maintain company's apprenticeship program
• Provide any assistance required for audits
• Assist with HR/payroll functions, such as managing employee time off, and reporting workplace incidents that may involve vehicle accidents, property damage, and/or employee injuries, etc.
• Issue work vehicles/vans to new employees
• Process refunds and resolve membership issues for clients
• Order supplies for the office (stationery, business cards, kitchen supplies, postage, etc.)
• Assist with dispatching and handling incoming calls as needed
• Perform other accounting and/or administrative duties as required

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associates Degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred
• 2 or more years of accounting experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
• Practical understanding of ERP/Accounting Software required

The starting base range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 annually. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills, and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside of the provided range.
