Job Title

Travel: RN - Med Surg ICU - Nights

Location

Fort Smith, AR | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 13 Weeks | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed mixed ICU unit, primarily serving medical patients with exposure to neuro surgery and cardiovascular surgery cases
• Manage patient ratios of 2–3:1, utilizing equipment including ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring
• Administer medications safely and accurately; all clinicians providing direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency exam with a minimum score of 90% prior to assuming medication administration responsibilities
• Document patient care and clinical information using the EPIC EMR system
• Float to Med Surg and Stepdown units as needed
• Collaborate as part of a team-oriented care environment to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN or SCRN certification
• Open heart recovery experience
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
