Business Development Manager – Data Center & Telecommunications

 

Location: Texas — Dallas/Fort Worth preferred

Travel: Throughout Texas as needed

Industry: Data Centers, Telecommunications, Construction & Infrastructure

 

About the Role:

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Business Development professional to establish and grow our presence in the Texas data center and telecommunications market.

 

This is a new-market build , not a handoff of an existing book of business. You will have the opportunity to build relationships, identify new opportunities, develop strategic accounts, and help shape the long-term growth strategy for the Texas market alongside company leadership.

The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship builder who enjoys creating opportunities from the ground up, is comfortable prospecting and closing new business, and has an established understanding of the data center, telecom, construction, or infrastructure industries.

 

What You'll Do:

• Build and develop relationships with data center operators, general contractors, subcontractors, telecom companies, and other industry partners throughout Texas
• Identify upcoming projects, expansions, and staffing opportunities across the state
• Prospect, develop, and close new client accounts
• Grow and maintain long-term client relationships
• Conduct in-person client meetings and establish a strong presence in the Dallas/Fort Worth market
• Attend industry conferences, trade shows, networking events, and other industry functions
• Partner closely with recruiting and operations teams to develop staffing solutions around client requirements
• Travel throughout Texas as needed to develop relationships and pursue new business
• Provide market intelligence and help shape the company's long-term Texas growth strategy
• Play an important role in evaluating the potential for a future Dallas-area office

 

What We're Looking For:

• Approximately 3–5 years of sales or business development experience in data centers, telecommunications, construction, infrastructure, or a related industry
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop, and close new business independently
• Comfortable building a territory from the ground up rather than relying solely on an established account list
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills
• Proactive, persistent, and self-motivated approach
• Professional and confident in client-facing environments
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas as needed

 

Preferred, But Not Required:

• Experience in the staffing or recruiting industry
• Background with a distributor, supplier, contractor, or system integrator serving the data center or telecommunications market
• Familiarity with structured cabling/low-voltage, electrical or MEP contracting, data center equipment, or related technologies
• Existing relationships within the Texas data center, telecom, or construction ecosystem
