Vice President Operations

VP of Operations | Pennsylvania Platform: Dental Support Organization (DSO) Compensation: $140K - $170K Base + Bonus Our client is seeking a Vice President of Operations to oversee the operations of a growing multi-site dental organization. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and operational expertise. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans that ensure efficient and effective operations across multiple dental practices. Responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining operational standards, optimizing workflow processes, driving operational excellence, and promoting a culture of high-quality patient care, team collaboration, and continuous improvement. This position requires travel throughout the designated territory, with occasional travel for leadership and operational meetings. RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to define and execute the company's long-term vision. Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost optimization, and efficiency enhancements. Operational Management: Provide leadership and direction across operational functions. Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations, optimizing resource allocation and utilization. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and improve productivity. Monitor and evaluate operational performance using data and metrics, making data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement. Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performing operations team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to leaders and managers. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Recruit and retain top talent, identifying skill gaps and implementing training and development programs. Establish succession plans to ensure a strong talent pipeline for key operational roles. Compliance & Risk Management: Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Implement and monitor health and safety protocols. Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Financial Management: Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Partner with practice management and revenue cycle teams to optimize revenue generation. PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 5+ years of multi-site dental practice management or operations experience, preferably within a DSO or mid-sized group. Strong knowledge of dental practice operations, including scheduling, patient flow, billing, and insurance processes. Proven track record of successfully managing and leading teams. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze financial and operational data.
