About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an acute operating room setting License: Active nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. 2 years current experience in acute operating room setting. Ortho, spine, and joint replacement experience required. Knee and hip replacement experience is mandatory. Description: This role requires the observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care for all patients. The unit operates with a patient ratio of 3:1. Staff includes a charge RN, multiple RNs, techs, and a clinical coordinator. Day shifts consist of one charge RN, 2-3 RNs, and 2 techs. Night shifts are similar. Candidates must be able to scrub and circulate across all service lines. Rotating weekends may be required. On-call requirements are 4 weekly shifts, including 2 weeknight calls and 2 weekend 24-hour calls. There is also one holiday 24-hour call if applicable. Best candidates for this role will be dedicated, reliable, proficient in charting, critical thinkers, passionate, and excellent multitaskers with a strong bedside manner. The dress code includes navy or royal blue scrubs, with no surgical type scrubs allowed.
